Open Field Sports Club
Drop-in runs, league seasons, and bookable fields — soccer, basketball, and volleyball all under one roof.
On the field
Meet your coaches

Eleni organizes Open Field’s pickup soccer and has run community games across the city for years. She is the reason matches start on time, teams stay balanced, and new faces always get a pass. Her whole goal is simple: show up alone, leave having played and made a few friends.

Devon runs the basketball and volleyball nights and has played rec ball at every level from high school to adult league. He keeps the games competitive but easygoing, resetting teams so no run turns into a blowout. If you have not touched a ball in years, he will get you back in the mix.
Programs & clinics

Book the full turf field by the hour for your own practice, tournament, or corporate game. The rental includes nets, corner flags, and floodlights after dusk, and you get the changerooms and the free lot along with it. It suits everything from a standing weekly kickabout to a one-off club training session. Pick your window below — the field is yours from the moment it starts.

A private half-hour with one of our coaches to work on exactly what you want — first touch, shooting form, serving, or just getting match-fit before a season starts. Your coach watches what you actually do on the field, names the one or two things worth fixing, and gives you drills to take away. It suits both first-timers and league players tuning up. Requests are reviewed so we can pair you with the right coach and time.

Six-a-side indoor volleyball on Sunday evenings, aimed at players who have outgrown the drop-in nights and want a real season with a table to climb. Results are reviewed before they post, so the standings you see are the standings that count. Teams rotate through the full schedule and everyone plays every week, finishing with a bracketed playoff. Court shoes required; knee pads are a good idea.

Open Run Basketball is classic gym-run five-on-five with rotating teams and winner-stays-on games. It is aimed at players who know the flow of a pickup game and want quality runs without the drama. We reset squads to keep things even, so no one sits too long or gets stuck in a blowout. Bring indoor shoes, a reversible or two-colour setup, and plenty of water.

Volleyball Nights is a relaxed indoor drop-in for newer and improving players who want reps in a low-pressure room. We run rotating six-a-side games and coach the basics — passing, setting, and serving — as we go. It is a great way to build confidence and meet people who play regularly. Just bring court shoes and knee pads if you like; we supply the balls and nets.

Our Wednesday co-ed league is the step up from drop-in: a full season of refereed matches on the turf, with standings, playoffs, and a champion at the end of it. Register a full squad or sign up as a free agent and we will place you on a team that fits your level. Games run every Wednesday evening rain or shine, and the clubhouse stays open after the final whistle. Bring shin guards, cleats, and both a light and a dark jersey.

Reserve half or all of the indoor gym for basketball or volleyball, hour by hour. Hoops, nets, and balls are all set up and ready, so you can walk in and play. Groups use it for team practices, birthday games, and league warm-ups through the winter. Book the block you need and the court is held for your group alone.

Pickup Soccer is a friendly, fast-moving drop-in run where we sort balanced teams on the spot and play small-sided games. All abilities are welcome — the vibe is competitive enough to be fun and relaxed enough for a first-timer. Show up solo or with friends; we make sure everyone gets real minutes. Bring shin guards and both a light and a dark shirt, and note games run rain or shine on turf.

Turf fields are behind the main clubhouse — follow the gravel path past the free lot. Indoor runs use the gym entrance on the north side; doors open twenty minutes before the first whistle.
