Lena is a masters swim coach and former collegiate distance swimmer who leads Blue Lane’s morning squads. She writes lane-by-lane sets so every speed gets a real workout, and she is meticulous about pacing and rest. Early alarm aside, her squad regulars swear by how much faster they have gotten.

Kai coaches stroke-technique clinics and the intro water polo program, drawing on years of competitive polo and lifeguard instruction. He is endlessly patient with the small mechanical fixes that make swimming feel effortless. Bring a stroke you want to clean up and he will have drills ready.
Squads & clinics

Intro Water Polo introduces teens to the game’s fundamentals — treading, passing, and basic ball handling — in a fun, team-based setting. No polo experience is needed, just comfort swimming a few lengths and a willingness to try something new. Coaches keep drills playful while building the conditioning the sport demands. Bring a swimsuit you can move in, goggles, and lots of energy.

Masters Swim Squad is a coached early-morning workout for confident swimmers who want structure and steady improvement. Each session is written as lane-specific sets, so sprinters and distance swimmers both get an honest workout. Expect pace clocks, technique reminders, and a supportive crew that shows up before sunrise. Bring goggles, a cap, and fins if you have them.

The Stroke Technique Clinic is a small-group session dedicated to cleaning up one stroke at a time through focused drills and detailed cues. It suits every level, from adults relearning freestyle to competitive swimmers chasing efficiency. With a low cap, you will get plenty of individual feedback and specific homework to take away. Bring goggles and a cap, and come with a stroke you would like to fix.
