Meet the coaches

Dana Whitfield founded Pulse Strength Collective and still runs it day to day — welcoming newcomers, shaping the schedule, and making sure every session lives up to the name over the door. They built this place to be the kind of friendly, well-run space they always wanted for themselves. Introduce yourself on your first visit; they genuinely love meeting new faces.

Mara is a CSCS-certified strength coach who has spent the last decade helping lifters of every level build confident, repeatable technique under the bar. She programs the Barbell Strength block and lives for the moment a nervous beginner hits a clean first deadlift. Expect precise cues, patient progressions, and absolutely no ego in the room.

Theo leads conditioning and HIIT at Pulse, drawing on a background in competitive track and functional fitness. His classes are fast, playful, and endlessly scalable — he always has a harder and an easier option ready before you ask. Come for the intervals, stay for the questionable playlist.
Class formats

Barbell Strength is our foundational small-group class built around the squat, press, hinge, and pull. We cap the group so every lifter gets hands-on cueing and a weight that matches the day, whether it is your first session or your fiftieth. Expect a thorough warm-up, three to four main lifts, and accessory work to finish. Wear flat shoes and bring water — chalk and all the iron are provided.

Core & Mobility is a thirty-minute reset focused on trunk stability, controlled breathing, and the range of motion that keeps you moving well. It is a gentle, beginner-friendly entry point — perfect on its own or as a finisher after a heavier class. You will work through floor-based core sequences and guided mobility drills at an unhurried pace. Just bring comfortable clothes; mats and props are here for you.

HIIT 45 is a fast, sweat-soaked forty-five minutes of intervals mixing bodyweight, kettlebells, and conditioning machines. It is built for people who already move confidently and want a hard, efficient session that changes every class. Every exercise has a scale, so you set the intensity while the clock keeps you honest. Come fueled, bring a towel, and expect to earn the cooldown.
